Nightshade Inn & Gardens

I went to the state fair for the night and found this place to stay. The owners were very accommodating about checking in past 9PM so we didn’t have to leave in the middle of the fair. The price, convenience and cleanliness was unbeatable compared to other hotels around. I highly recommend this place and if ever in the area again will stay. Thanks for everything!

I was very pleasantly surprised when I thought I would be disappointed because most other places were booked up. They are far from and very far above the flat roadside motel cliche. The room was pretty small but we just needed an overnight stay, not ballroom dancing. Room was freshly remodeled and smelled clean and new when we first walked in. Friendly&helpful staff. Far enough away from the road to be quiet and comfortable. Nice bathroom, comfortable beds and good amenities. If I have to stay in that area again I will definitely go back there. I have paid over twice the price for rooms that weren’t as good as this. Nice job!

Peaceful and Clean Alternative to Big Hotels We chose this motel over a large hotel to avoid crowds, and it was the right call. The room was clean and quiet with a slightly dark, cozy vibe. The owners were kind and welcoming—great stay overall.

I recently stayed at the Nightshade Inn & Gardens while visiting friends in Marcellus, and it quickly became one of my favorite hotel experiences. Honestly, it didn’t even feel like a hotel, it felt more like a beautifully kept country cottage, warm and inviting in every way. The room was cozy, spotlessly clean, and full of thoughtful touches, like a bowl of fresh fruit and snacks waiting for me when I arrived. The bed was so comfortable I slept like a baby, and their Wi-Fi was excellent, which made it easy to stay connected and get some work done during my trip. The owners were incredibly sweet and welcoming, which made the stay feel even more special. I will definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Not only is it reasonably priced, but you get so much more than what you pay for. A true hidden gem!

We stayed here for the weekend as we were travelling from Canada to go to the Metallica concert in Syracuse. Singh is a wonderful host and his wife is lovely! We checked in for two nights stayed in room 7. Absolutely spotless, fresh linens, updated room with flat screen tv, mini fridge, microwave, A/C. Decor was cozy (like home), bottled water, snacks and fruit in the room upon arrival. In main (office) area there is fresh brewed coffee, tea, fruit and baked goods for all guests. I highly recommend this little spot! You won’t be disappointed! So happy we found this place! If we are back in Syracuse, this is where we will be staying!

We loved the place. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. We had fruit ,water and snacks in room and in lobby. We would definitely stay there again. .
